If all fails, I suggest that you create a ticket here and pm me the ticket number with the link for this thread once you have it. Test the mouse on another PC (if available) Clean the left-click button with a compressed can of air (optional) Swap the primary and secondary click function for testing (For Windows: Mouse Properties > Buttons tab > Button Configuration | For Mac: System Preferences > Mouse > Primary Mouse Button) Tick the "Double-click to open an item" in the Folder Options section of Windows.

Adjust double-click sensitivity in the Mouse Properties > Buttons tab > Double-click speed (In Mac OS X: System Preferences > Mouse > Double-Click Speed) Prefer using USB 2.0 rather than USB 3.0 ports. Bypass the use of KVM switch boxes, port replicators, docking stations, and USB hubs if any If you are experiencing double clicking issue, try the steps as follows: When you say fixing the mouse, do you mean like opening it? We don't actually suggest that specially if the device is still under warranty as it'll be voided. Them put the mouse back together :) Profit!Īpologies for the trouble. Since the PCB will be already disassembled and it's like a 5 minute job or less per switch, they shouldn't charge you much. If you don't, just take the daughterboards to a phone/electronics repair shop and have them do it for you.
Do this regardless of if you have soldering equipment or not!Īfter you remove the microswitch daughterboards, then you can desolder them if you have equipment and resolder the best Omrons you tested or examined. (bonus points if you have a multimeter and you test the "click release very slowly" for double clicking continuity! Doing this will insure you get a switch that lasts for *years*). Choose the ones with the brightest white lettering as they will be newest.

If you don't know how to solder, have a phone repair shop solder for you. UPDATE: Logitech have agreed to send me a new G903, the newer model with the HERO Sensor and 140 Hour battery life (which is not what my old one was), so I'm happy enough to try that and hopefully it won't have the same left click issues. The issue also seems to be slowly getting worse. No issues noticed with moving the mouse or the other buttons.Ĭould it be software, hardware, interference, something else? Any known solutions? I have tried different USB ports, and also a different PC, but the issue persists.

I'm on Windows 10 and running 7.0.9 firmware on the mouse. Similarly, it will sometimes think I'm double clicking when I'm actually clicking and dragging because it loses sense of me holding down the button and then regains it.
Basically, it seems to stop detecting that it's being pushed at times, and this is noticeable when left clicking and dragging something because the application will act as thought I've let go the mouse button when I haven't. I bought a G903 from Amazon in August, so it's ~5 months old, and I've been having an issue with the left mouse button lately.
